Trying to Rape Gay People Straight Should Be a... →
cassket:
If the phrase “corrective rape” sounds jarring to you, it should. It’s a brutal concept whereby straight people think that LGBT folks can be “cured” through forced sex. The practice has become systemic and widespread in South Africa, particularly against the lesbian community, with upwards of ten new cases of corrective rape being reported each week. And that’s just in Cape Town alone.

When Rosa Parks refused on the afternoon of Dec. 1, 1955, to give up her bus seat so that a white man could sit, it is unlikely that she fully realized the forces she had set into motion and the controversy that would soon swirl around her. Other black women had similarly refused to give up their seats on public buses and had even been arrested, including two young women earlier that...

This was shocking to learn, that brands that are carried by Whole Foods would be unsafe. Sigh. Again, at this point, it is the consumer’s responsibility to be a responsible shopper. 4-Dioxane is a chemical byproduct and known carcinogen that is not required to be listed on ingredient labels. Please read and share.
